Walt Disney World top tips from the ThemeParkBeds.com experts
Know Before You Go!
- To enter a Disney Park, both a valid Disney ticket AND a date-specific theme park reservation are now required.
- Reservations for Walt Disney Parks can only be made once your clients have received their Disney hotel confirmation.
- On receipt of your clients' Disney hotel confirmation, have your clients create an accout on MyDisneyExperience and start reserving their park days.
- Some experiences - including theme parks - may be modified or unavailable to allow for physical distancing and limited contact. All four Walt Disney parks are now open. Re-opening dates for the Disney Waterparks are yet to be determined.
- Services such as park-hopping and Disney FastPass+ may be modified or unavailable and cannot be guaranteed.
Tips & Tricks ....When they're in the Parks
- Don’t go with the flow: your customers can avoid the early morning rush by heading straight to the very back of the park and working their way round anti-clockwise.
- Advise your customers to not wander around with their valuables, but to leave them in their Disney Hotel. Many wedding rings have found their way to the bottom of pools!
- If your customers are travelling with children, recommend that they organise a meeting place in case they get split up.
- Tell your customers not to be afraid to plan in 'rest days' to re-energise and keep theme park burn-out at bay!
- If your customers are visiting Magic Kingdom and want to meet Mickey Mouse, tell them to head to Town Square Exposition Hall on Main Street USA. Or they can pre-book their meet using Disney’s NEW MyMagic+ feature. (NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE)
- Tell your customers to make the most of their Extra Magic Hours every morning and evening. This is an exclusive benefit for on-site guests only, allowing them to experience the Parks for even longer.(NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE)
- When visiting Epcot advise your customers to take a change of clothes and a towel for kids so they can cool off when running through the foundations.
- Take the Kilimanjaro Safari early in the morning when visiting Disney’ Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Your customers should expect to see more animals before they find shade from the hot afternoon sun.
Tips & Tricks… My Magic+
- 10 days before your customers arrive at their Disney Resort Hotel they can customise their MagicBand with their name and are able to select from seven different colours. This can be done on MyDisneyExperience.com.
- Your customers can further personalise their MagicBands once they are in Walt Disney World with CoverBands, MagicSliders and MagicBandits. This is a cool way to make their MagicBand completely unique and it’s a great souvenir. Your customers can find out more information when they check-in.
- With Disney’s new FastPass+, your guests can pre-book their favourite rides and attractions up to 60 days in advance of their arrival. To understand how FastPass+ works, please click here. (NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE)
Tips & Tricks… Disney Dining
- To avoid disappointment don’t forget to tell your customers to book their favourite Walt Disney World Resort restaurants from 180 days in advance of their holiday using My Disney Experience. (Pre-booking has now changed to 60 days but this is alo subject to change so please contact us for any questions you may have)
- Your customers can exchange two waiter service points to experience Disney Character or Signature Dining. Click here to find out more about dining options.
Tips & Tricks… Hotels
Disney’s Art of Animation
- Find out your customer’s favourite Disney character and request that accommodation, to make their stay even more magical!
- Even though this hotel does not offer room service your customers can get pizza delivered straight to their room for a cosy night in.
- For a musical treat in the Resort pool, let your customers know to lower their head beneath the water and enjoy.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- If your guests want to be close to the ‘custom house’ make sure you book Martinique accommodation.
- Upgrade your customers to a special pirate-themed room but be quick as there are only 400 available!
- Each Caribbean Village is themed. Find out your cusomer’s favourite and upgrade to that area.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Upgrade them to a Savannah view room for a real safari experience.
- If your customers are celebrating a special occasion on their holiday, suggest you book them in at the Jiko restaurant’s exclusive private dining area.
Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts
- Using My Disney Experience recommend your customers pre-book the delicious Yachtsman Steakhouse.
- If your customers want some chill out time, make sure they know about the quiet pool.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- For customers celebrating a special occasion, rent the Grand One Yacht which will take them across the lake to view Wishes fireworks – this is a truly magical experience.
- Tell your customers to take the boat back from the Magic Kingdom after a fun-filled day in the parks.
- Advise your customers to book Narcoossee’s restaurant to see the Electric Water Pageant. This has been running since 1971 and remains as one of the few original opening shows to still be running at Walt Disney World.
